There are men who always insist on wearing their new dress shoes in a muddy field first because – apparently – it helps to build patina. But, whilst I admire their intrepid spirit, my favourite place for a new pair of shoes comes with the smell of ice cream and candyfloss.
On Easter Sunday we went to beautiful Selsey on the Sussex coast. Charlotte kindly took some more photos of me wearing my ‘Thomas’ pair of Holden and Green shoes.
I think that you should always wear a new pair of shoes to the beach if you can, particularly a pebbly English-type beach. Not only do you find out a great deal about fit and durability (my shoes were rock solid and fit like a dream) you also get sand on them so they see a bit of life.
Update on sales! Thank you to our friends from Nigeria, Tunisia, Morocco, the United States, Germany and France who have bought over 35 pairs so far in the last week. We hope you enjoy your Holden and Green shoes.
